EFL and Art

Introduction

Hello, my my name is Kirsteen and I love to help people understand things, all my life I have loved to teach and help others. I have run workshops, youth groups, festivals, and classes as well as taught in schools and colleges. I think that learning should be fun, actually less pressure and more fun works best.

Teaching style

Learning should be interesting, topics made clear and simple, lots of games, lots of repetition and a chance to gain confidence saying and doing things. Students do best with lots of help and encouragement not heavy pressure.

As well as English as a Second Language (ESL) I can teach: art, design, sculpture, drawing, ceramics, photography, textiles and calligraphy.

About me.

I am 45 and have two children, I am Scottish originally but have lived in lots of places in the UK, English is my first language and I have a very clear accent. I have a degree form Heriot Watt University (Edinburgh) and am currently completing a Level 5 Teaching English as a Second Language (TEFL) qualification.

Experience

I have taught ESL to adults and children for 15 years, I have taught art and design all my life. I love seeing my students improve and reach their chosen jobs and more ideal lives.
